Somewhere deep in the wooded area, came a roaring of a truck engine. For a few minutes, the sound grew louder and louder, until it slowed to a dull humming. More sounds erupted after two car doors slammed. The humans were talking to themselves, three of them. They opened the back of the white truck and drug out a large tan box. The box had a wire door on one end where a wolf face could be seen whimpering and cowering.
The humans pulled and tugged the box to the edge of the meadow. One opened the wire door but nothing happened. The wolf inside whimpered some more but stayed in the back. He didn’t know anything better; he lived in a laboratory all his life. Why the humans would set him free in the wild, who knew? It was one of those strange things about those humans. No one ever know why they did the things they did. One human looked in at the wolf and tried to coax him out. The wolf tried to retreat farther. Sighing, the human turned away. Another rapped loudly on the back of the crate. Then he was gone. The wolf shot out of the crate like a bullet, soft grass under his paws. He didn’t look back. “Be free Lobo! Be free Lobo!” The humans smiled and climbed back in their truck and drove away.
The wolf, Lobo as he used to be called, ran and didn’t look back. At first, he was cautious, waiting for the sting of a needle or the pull of a leash. But nothing, nothing at all. At last, Bo was truly completely free! He inhaled the fresh air and sniffed the ground and grass and trees. There was real dirt under his paws and growing grass and life! Happily, Bo laughed out loud. He didn’t know what to do, but there was so much! The male wolf was so excited to see something other then the white walls of the laboratory, so excited, he didn’t even smell the other wolves.
Tan and brown legs carried the wolf far, past various shrubs and trees. As much as he could see, it was a vast forest of some sort. His nose was untrained, and he didn't pick up the scent of a pack boundary. Eventually, the wolf tired and his long hours had brought him to the edge of the forest, to a sandy spot with a cool breeze and the sound of crashing waves. With a swishing tail and lolling tongue, Bo padded to the edge of the water, letting the waves reach his paws.

The sound of the crashing waves against the shore drew Trinity out of the shadows. Tail twitching slightly, unaware that another of her kind was near. After all, he was downwind of her, so the wind didn't carry his scent towards the alpha. Black ears flicking slightly, she stepped into the water before it crashed against the land, licking her toes. She shuddered against the coldness as it slowly began to snow. The tiny droplets of frozen water settled into her coat causing it to soak through. Dipping her head her gray eyes focused on the water before her pink tounge lolled out of her mouth, settling ontop of the water before she lapped it back up into her mouth. Her tail flicked as the cool water froze her throat and caused her to raise her head and shake it.
Finally, looking up, her gray eyes settled on the brown male standing about 50 feet away from her. She barked out her presence and tightened her lips into a snarl, running up then sliding to a stop almost colliding with him. "Hello," she said coolly before settling down slightly, her body becoming relaxed. Her head raised along with her tail, her dominace clearly showing. Slightly smaller then the male, she was a real sight, her eyes locked with his.

Bo's nose twitched and his head turned. No wayyy! His mind skyrocketed as he realized he was near other wolves. The female noticed him too and Bo's body began to shake with excitement. His tail was wagging furiously as she approached and his body slid into a play-bow, though he wasn't exactly inviting her to play. Bo bounced up and down, almost on the spot. "Hello!" Bo barked back happily, tail and head low with submission. He didn't know who this wolf was, but she was much stronger then him, so Bo assumed anyway. Bo also wasn't aware that he was on her territory. This young wolf had so so much to learn about living in the wilderness with other wolves. What were those silly humans thinking?

Well, an odd one she had here. Though he looked submissive, but he seemed..oddly excited. Hadn't the brute ever been outside in the wild before? Well, he sure wasn't acting like it. She felt the odd urge to smile as he lowered into a slightly..play-bow but didn't return it. Instead, she got back on track on the questions. Now was her chance! "Well," she started, not knowing how exactly to start. "Why are you here, on my land?" she questioned softly, looking around before sniffing. Her nostrils flared as she took in the scent of the stranger.

Bo's head tilted slightly and he straightened up, though not so much to show any power. His hazel eyes opened wide with surprise. "You /own/ all of this land?" Yeah, he was that clueless. Then he realized that she could have the potential to harm him, and while he was excited about seeing another wolf, Bo didn't want to fight. "Oh, uhm... I didn't know..." His ears flicked to the sides and his eyes dropped to the ground, embarrassed. "I've never seen so many trees in one place! I've never seen this much water!" Bo turned to look out at the bay, his tail swishing lightly.

Her tail swished before she narrowed her eyes slightly, flicking her tail. THe snow was deep enough to cover her paws making her shiver. She rolled her shoulders and nodded. "Yes, I do own this land. All of MIkomi Bay," she said softly before pinning her ears back. An odd one. Never seen this many trees or water? The hell? He come from a desert or something? Well, whatever, the rbute was trespassing. She snorted slightly before staring at him. He was a bouncy joyful one. She shook her head to clear her thoughts. "Well, I'll ask you again, trespasser. What are you doing on my land?" she asked, a little more firm then what she intended to have it.
Leaving no room for other comments, her glare intesified.

Realizing this was serious, Bo cowered like a pup in trouble. He let an unintentional pause fall. "I... I don't know... " He answered honestly. "This place is nice... and I just kinda... arrived here so to speak..." He didn't want to spill his life story to this female, but he might as well. Sighing, Bo decided to continue and just give her a short version. "This is honestly the first time I've been... here... anywhere...." He didn't know what /here/ was called. "Humans. I lived with Humans.... But not as a pet, in a lab." Bo understood some concepts, like where he lived before and the difference between a pet and an experiment. Other things, like packs and other wolves, he had no knowledge on. "I'm sorry." He said in a soft tone, almost blushing. "I didn't know..." Now he just felt stupid.

Trinity blinked, her eyes showing the shock. an indoor wolf on her lands?! All that would bring would be trouble. She fought the urge to growl at the brute, and tell him to get the fuck off of her land. Besides. A house dog wouldn't last a month in the wild. But, that was her mean streak getting in the way of her leading once more. She sighed and looked at him. The poor thing scared to death, not knowing where he was. THat would be aweful. "Alright then," she said with a slight nod. "Now, tell me your name," She smiled at him, showing that she meant no harm if he kept his place....below her. "I guess you can't tell me why you're here, because you couldn't smell the pack boundry,"

"My name?" For a second, the scrawny wolf couldn't remember. His mind had been blurred by so many chemicals and needles that he couldn't remember his parents or sisters. He couldn't remember the name given to him by his parents. Just... a steel cage. It was the first thing that came to mind when the wolf thought of anything before today. But today was a day for making memories.
"Bo." He said with a nod, shortening the name the Humans had always called him, 'Lobo'. "Pack boundries?" He didn't realize there was such a smell. What else has a smell? Bo wondered, not realizing he did probably sound like a house dog. Any other wolf would be embarrassed to be around Bo, it was a miracle Trinity wasn't running him from her lands.

A warm smile twitched her lips. "Well, Bo," she started, looking around slightly. "You are now in the Mikomi Bay Packlands, owned by me," she said softly, blinking her gray eyes before looking back at him. "I'm Trinity, the alphess," she greeted slightly. Well, there was nothing she could do but be calm with him since he was so new to the outdoors. Her ears pinned.
"Yes, pack boundries. If it doesn't smell of the pack, it isn't ours which means it's either nuetral or an entirely different pack," she said with a slight nod. She blinked, thinking of what she could do for him. "You're welcome inside the packlands only if you're part of it,"

Bo smiled back at Trinity's smile. "Nice to meet you." He said with a low nod. Bo listened to her words, trying to make some sense of them. He shuffled nervously, looking around again. "Oh well.. I'm sorry for intruding..." For a second, Bo hoped there weren't a million wolves lurking in the shadows of the trees and ready to pounce on him at the Alphess's words. Yeah, you could call him a bit paranoid. "How do you become part of a pack?" Bo asked suddenly, interested in this new order that should have been so familiar.

Trinity smiled and let her tail swish again. "All you have to do is ask," she said softly looking around. There were no wolves in this land but her. And maybe Bo, now. Her black ears flicked as her gray eyes going unblinked for a moment. "Why, Bo? You interested?" she asked softly, a smile forming on her lips as she snorted, snowflakes lightly landing on her nose.
